FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Here are some of my most asked questions along with my answers, all to help you on your way to booking your very own love filled family session…

I am always on hand to guide and share all the info, tools and ideas to make the photoshoot booking and session experience as stress free, enjoyable and memorable as possible. So if your answer is not here please feel free to email me via my contact page.

What is included with the session? Digitals/Prints?

Full sessions are all inclusive with all high resolution photographs presented on a gorgeous wooden USB, as well as downloadable from a private online gallery. Full sessions also come with six stunning mounted fine art prints.

Mini Sessions include a private online gallery with five high-res digital downloads and one mounted fine art print. All mini sessions come with the option to purchase extra downloads, the entire gallery, and any other prints or artwork.

When do we receive the digitals or artwork?

Approximately 2-4 weeks (sooner if possible) after the session you will be emailed a link to your private online gallery.

With the full 2 hour sessions you can freely download all of your high res photographs. For the mini sessions you will be able to download five from the gallery with the option to purchase more.

Each gallery will have at least 50 photographs and you will be asked to select your favourite six photographs for the mounted 6x4 fine art prints (and one for mini sessions) which will be posted out to you along with your USB of images within 1-2 weeks of selection.

You will also be invited to choose any additional prints, frames, albums, artwork if you so wish, and turn around for these are 1-6 weeks depending on selection.

What should I wear for the photoshoot?

Be comfortable and think about the overall feel of the photographs. I always suggest light neutral options because they perfectly compliment my soft warm photographic tones as well as any backdrop we choose. Therefore keeping the focus on you and your family, giving them that timeless feel, and a look that will also suit any interior!

Within the printed photoshoot prep guide I send upon booking there is a style guide with tons of tips and inspiration, I will also email a seasonal style board. If in doubt I am always more than happy to help, your outfit choices can be discussed in my check up call one week before the session too, so no need to worry. I also have a Pinterest board full of inspiration - my account is @rebeccaxx

How long do the sessions last?

Full sessions last approximately 2 hours, which allows for a relaxed in-depth session with lots of options for backdrops, different poses and groups, and occasionally even an outfit change.

Mini Sessions last 15minutes and are quicker paced, I usually try for 4 or 5 of different poses, groups or setups which flow from one to another.

Where should we have our outdoor photoshoot?

I have a huge list of favourite local locations, and am always on the hunt for more to make sure I find those little hidden gems that work perfectly for each of the different seasons. If you’re looking for the best spot for bluebells in spring, wild flower meadows in the summer, warm toned woods with crunchy golden leaves in autumn or frosty pine forests in winter - I’ve got you covered. I always try to checkout the location prior to our photoshoot too to find the perfect spot, I can then send a drop pin location for navigation.

How do I prepare my home for an indoor session?

Setting the scene for a home session doesn’t need to feel daunting so please don’t worry about making your house into a show home, it’s meant to be natural. I feel simple tones and neutral backgrounds are best, and places with lots of natural light and space are my favourite.

I may ask for some photos of your space to check it will work, then on arrival we can have a little tour and I’ll instantly be able to work out where is best. If you’d prefer we can arrange a video call so that you can walk me around virtually and I can talk you through where we can use your beautiful space to show it at its best.

What happens if it rains on our outdoor photoshoot?

If the forecast is raining or unfavourable for our outdoor photoshoot I will offer a time change or an at home session. If these don’t suit we will reschedule to a different date immediately within the following 4 weeks.
